Seapoint water safety week |
Seapoint Water Safety Week is held in July each year. The course is designed for children from 10 years of age to 17 years of age. The course is held in co-operation with Dunlaoghaire Rathdown County Council. Ceoltas Ceoltoiri Eireann, Belgrave Square, Monkstown, County Dublin, provide facilities for lectures, Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation, First Aid, and for hot tea, coffee, and soup. The course has been running in Seapoint, County Dublin, since the year 2004. The main objective of the course is to teach the children about Personal Safety when they are at the beach. The course follows the syllabus of the Royal Lifesaving Society. The Club is a member of the Royal Lifesaving Society, and all of it’s Instructors have completed the Child Awareness Course, as specified by the Irish Sports Council, and in compliance with the Children First Guidelines as issued by the Department of Children. The dates for Seapoint Water Safety Week 2025 are to be announced shortly. The cost of the course is €150 per child. Bring a Packed Lunch.
